Sophisticated profiles is the key material for the electrical contact part of electrical components. It is usually composed of three layers: an electrical contact layer, an intermediate layer and a base layer. The electrical contact layer is the working layer, which requires high corrosion resistance and electrical and thermal conductivity. Gold or gold alloy is commonly used, with a thickness of 1~10μm. The middle layer is the transition layer, which requires high electrical and thermal conductivity and comprehensive electrical properties. Silver or silver-based materials are commonly used; The base layer needs good weldability and high strength, and copper or copper-based materials are commonly used. This structure effectively reduces the amount of precious metals used, reduces costs, and is conducive to market promotion. With the development of electrical automation and miniaturization, the market demand for electrical contact materials has increased, requiring manufacturers to provide materials suitable for automated welding, materials that save the amount of precious metals, and composite contact strips suitable for high-power electrical appliances.

In the existing commonly used three-layer composite contact strips, the middle layer is mostly made of AgNi material. This material has good processing performance and comprehensive electrical properties. However, when the operating current or power increases (impulse current exceeds 20A), AgNi Materials cannot meet the requirements, and with the development of electrical appliances miniaturization, functional diversification, and production automation, the use environment of sophisticated profiles will gradually increase, so it is necessary to develop strips with AgMeO as the intermediate layer to meet market needs.

After three years of technological development, Fudar alloy used high-frequency heating and pass rolling to prepare AuNi(5)/AgSnO2(10)/CuNi(44)  sophisticated profiles. The AgSnO2 material in this strip is prepared by atomization pre-oxidation. The metallographic structure of AgSnO2 is uniform and fine, with low volume resistivity and high electrical endurance. It is especially suitable for automotive relays and circuit breakers with higher current levels.
